Overview

A circular walk from Birchover taking in the villages of Bradford, Alport and Stanton in Peak. We will see an historic hermit's cave, Robin Hood's Stride and the Nine Sisters stones. It is a varied walk going through woodland, moorland and beside a river, part of it along the Limestone Way. There is some road-work on quiet roads.

There are a number of stone wall stiles, a few busy roads to cross, possibly cattle, and a long, steady incline up to the village of Stanton.

Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.
