Starting from Blagdon Village Hall car park we head through fields and woodland to Burrington Combe. We explore Burrington Ham taking in the hill fort and enjoying the spectacular views in all directions before dropping down to Rickford with its interesting architecture and history. We climb out of Rickford and pass Combe Lodge before returning to Blagdon, with lovely views of Blagdon Reservoir. This walk is rough and uneven in places, so poles would be useful. Occasionally we go quite near to the edge of the Combe, though this is perfectly safe. There is 900 feet of climb over the whole walk. Cafe at the end."
