We are the Ponteland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Blaydon nature Reserve, Bog Wood, Dents Hall, Ryton Village (lunch stop) along the river via Ryton Willows, Ryton Haugh, south to Stella, through the woods to the Water Mill, back to the car park.
Terrain - woodland paths, some road/pavement, trails, a few stiles, mud in places, and a couple of short ascents/descents.
Refreshments – Coffee/Lunch stop - Ryton Village on the village green.

Car Park on Summerhill, Blaydon, Gateshead. DIRECTIONS – from Ponteland head to Newburn and cross the river via Newburn Bridge, follow the road and at the T junction turn left onto the B6317 (Stella Road), follow the B6317 for approx.. half a mile until you see Phumphreys coffee house (RHS), turn right onto Summerhill (just before the coffee house) SP Path Head Water Mill. Car park on the left a little way up the hill opposite houses (go slow or you'll miss it - not very well sign posted)
