This scenic 9.5 mile route from Bradenham follows ridge lines on both sides of the Saunderton valley, with fine views in prospect. We cross the A4010 and proceed north through Allnutt's Wood, over Slough Hill and up to Bledlow Ridge, where we descend to skirt Lodge Hill and pick up the Ridgeway across Princes Risborough golf course and the Marylebone main line. The return leg tracks south, passing through Loosley Row and over Callows Hill on the opposite side of the valley. Our route is mainly across sheep pastures and some sown fields on well-defined paths, with underfoot conditions expected to good given the time of year. Please bring refreshments for two stops.
We park and gather at the end of a bumpy lane by Bradenham Manor and Church, overlooking the Green and cricket pitch.
