This 5.9 mile walk starts from the car park adjacent to the recreation ground in Boham's Road in Blewbury. Our route initially heads up onto the edge of the downs above Blewbury, with fine views to the north, before descending into Upton. We then join the track of the old Newbury-Didcot railway line for a while, before heading into East Hagbourne for our mid-walk break in the churchyard. From here we head back across fields to the beautiful village of Blewbury, following ancient paths and lanes past the church and numerous old houses on our way back to the car park.
Following the initial ascent onto the downs and subsequent descent into Upton, the terrain is pretty flat and there are no stiles.
