A lovely 5.5 mile walk in the beautiful north Cotswold countryside, which starts from Blockley and makes a broad circuit round Batsford and Batsford Arboretum. There are a couple of moderate climbs and a few of stiles, but it is nearly all on good paths and tracks, plus a stretch of quiet road. It could be a bit muddy in places and we could meet some sheep but cattle are unlikely. We will be stopping at Batsford Church for a snack break, so please bring refreshments.
Suitable for well-behaved dogs on leads.
Note: for those interested post walk refreshments may be had at the Blockley Village Cafe (highly recommended)
Meet by the bus shelter on the village green, at the junction of Park Road and St George's Terrace, postcode GL56 9BN. Park considerately on the roadside nearby. (Note: parking can be a little tricky, so car sharing is recommended. There are usually some spaces on Bell Lane or alternatively on Lower Street).
