Overview

A leisurely, circular coastal and woodland walk of approximately 6 miles through part of Bo’ness Nature Reserve and around the historic Kinneil House and Estate taking in ancient, medieval and more modern industrial history.  If we’re lucky, we’ll see steam trains passing along the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway.  A mixture of tracks, grassland, woodland and tarmac paths.  Gentle uphill and downhill walking to and from Kinneil House.  Parking at the Union Street car park, Bo’ness (free).  Toilet facilities near the start.  Possible coffee stop at the end.

Estimated walk time: 3 hours + two stops.  Estimated finish time: 14.00.

Meet at MIBC (EH22 1JD) for car share at 09.15 (NB earlier than usual time) or 10.00 at Union Street car park, Bo’ness (EH51 9AQ).

Please phone or text the walk leader K. Robertson, 07535536185 to register for the walk.
