This is Walk 3 of 5 Ramblers' led walks that are part of the Abingdon Walking Festival. Walks open to all. Non-members welcome. This is a moderate walk which follows the route as described in the ‘The Abingdon Waterways Walk’ guide. There is much to see, history, nature and open countryside. Sights of interest detailed in the guide will be pointed out during the walk. The route leaves Abingdon along the Ock valley walk to new Cut Mill, to Sutton Wick and its duck pond, and on to the Millennium gardens in Drayton. Through the old part of Drayton then follow footpaths to Drayton East Way and on to Sutton Courtenay with its pretty houses and history. To Sutton Pools, past the hydro plant and follow the Thames Path back to Abingdon. Please bring snacks and drink for a couple of stops. Vale Walk Leader SY.
