This was a traditional Bank Holiday walk usually organised by the late Jean Hall which ended up at the Black Horse Checkendon for a drink and a baguette for lunch and it was decided by Monica H and Kathy D that we should 'relive' the occasion in memory of Jean who died last year and was a prolific and adventurous walk leader for many years.
This will be a leisurely walk starting and finishing at the Black Horse Checkendon, which is a delightful gem of a traditional English pub hidden among the country lanes of Checkendon, surrounded by wonderful countryside. The walk is at a slow pace (STROLL) but is hilly in places.
