Due to the 'summer' bus service not being extended, we will have to arrange to leave car(s) in the Hay Car Park, while others will be required to take us to Glasbury Bridge car park to start the walk. We have only just found out about the cessation of the bus service. To enable us to organise transport we are making this a BOOKINGS ONLY walk.
From Glasbury bridge we will pick up the Wye Valley Walk, and climb to Maesyronnen Chapel. From there we will walk Cilcenni Dingle, and onwards to Moity and then Llowes. From Llowes we join the Wye Valley Walk again and climb up towards Briwnant. Our path takes us downhill to walk by the River Wye back into Hay on Wye.
On a good day, we have wonderful views of the Black Mountains and beyond. There are some stiles (a few dodgy ones), and there could be livestock in the fields, though on the reccie there were only sheep. There are two ascents; one up to Maesyronnen Chapel and the other from Llowes up to Briwnant.
Hay has a plethora of places to find refreshments after the walk if desired.
Please ensure you have your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with you.
