Starting in the beautiful Cotswolds village of Bourton-on-the-Water we make are way along the Diamond Way down towards Sherborne Common. Lunch is within Chessels Wood before we head into Great Rissington and then on to Little Rissington before returning to Bourton. There are some slight hills on the walk but nothing strenuous.
At the end of the walk there is the opportunity to spend some time in the village and visit some of the attractions such as the model village. A double scoop of Summer Strawberry ice cream will cost you £5.00.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink.
Meet in the Rissington Road Car Park. The cost of parking is £10.30 for the day, the shorter periods will not cover the duration of the walk. Car sharing is recommended. You can pay for parking with the PayByPhone App, the location code to use is 804760. Other private parking such as the cricket ground is available at a cheaper price. Use at your discretion. There are toilets in the car park, cost 40p payable by card or cash.
