Overview

A walk with Alison, walking  towards Higham via Holy Trinity Church and along the River Amber  returning via Higham Farm ponds , back under the railway and up to Brackenfield via various fields. There were no cows in the fields on the pre-walk.but could be on the day.. There are several inclines, particularly towards Higham then returning from Amber valley back towards Brackenfield. Could be muddy in places dependent on the amount of rain beforehand.

Some road walking on quiet roads, single file care required please. There are a number of  wooden stiles to negotiate. There are the usual tripping hazards such as tree roots and rocky paths.
