Overview

An exploration of the countryside to the west of the village of Braco with good all round views of the hills. The outward route follows the beautiful hidden glen of the Kier Burn and returns via the side of the River Knaik.

Mostly good paths, but on the outward route there is a narrow path with a few short climbs which may be muddy and slippery after rain. Also a small burn to cross with stepping stones. Poles recommended.

After the burn we follow a good path through open fields where cattle graze and we cross cattle grids.

The middle part of the walk is open moorland, so dress accordingly.
