Overview

From the car park we head along the canal for a short period, then follow a bridleway and a section of road walking and footpaths to reach Wingfield, the River Frome, Tellisford, Farleigh Hungerford, Iford, Westwood and dropping down through woods to follow the canal back to the car park.

There are some steep(ish) gradients on the walk and some muddy sections are possible following rain. It is an interesting and varied walk; good views and we pass various well-known buildings, attractive villages and settlements.

Stock possible in fields.  Please bring refreshments for two stops.
