A walk through Savernake Forest, on good tracks, towards the Grand Avenue. Continuing through woodland, towards Mildenhall, with good views over the Downs. The route crosses the River Kennet, before following field paths towards the church. We ascend a flight of steps to reach the Old Railway Path, and head towards Marlborough.
