Overview

Meet by the recreation ground, Patrixbourne Road.

This walk explores the farmland above Bourne Park, crossing at several points the course of the old Elham Valley Railway line and seeing some of its traces. We’ll then descend to Out Elmstead and climb to cross the A2 and reach the North Downs Way on Barham Downs and follow it to return to Bridge.

Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, but please note that we may encounter livestock along the way and there are likely to be stiles which may not be dog friendly – so you may have to lift your dog over them.
