Our walk takes us from the village Bridge of Weir along a hedged pathway with wild flowers and fields with sheep and cows, even Belted Galloways, towards Kilmalcolm another pretty idyllic, affluent village in Inverclyde. Weather permitting we would have our lunch in Kilmalcolm with several shops to buy drinks and snacks and cafe, toilet facility in Community Hall.
We will make our return through Quarriers Village, now private residential properties, passing around the manicured lawns and Houses and stopping off at the Nittingshill Memorial, marking the names of hundreds of children who died here. There are information boards in the area and I will share what I have read. We will then connect to the path and return to our cars.
The surface is even and sticks are a personal preference, gaitors will not be required.
