Overview

From Brinscall we will follow  close to the line of the old Chorley to Blackburn railway. We will then join and follow the Goit waterway that connects the Roddlesworth reservoirs to those at Rivington. Leaving the Goit at White Coppice we will go uphill to join the track to Drinkwaters. Then we will retrace our steps for a short distance before descending on good tracks and a little used road back to Brinscall. The going underfoot is mostly good but due to the recent very wet weather a few parts may well be very wet. Stout footwear with a good tread will be needed.
