We are the South Ribble Ramblers covering the District between Preston and Chorley in Lancashire, based on the town of Leyland.

A gradual ascent from Scorton leads up to the higher ground behind Nicky Nook. From here there are extensive views over the Fylde, Morecambe Bay, the distant Lake District and nearby Bowland fells. Return is down the lovely Grize Dale. Mostly on good tracks, uneven underfoot in places. There are a few stiles and some rough pasture to cross. There is a possibility of some mud after rain (as always).
Public toilets (pay) at the start/end in Scorton. Refreshments also available in the village.
There is on street parking along Gubberford Lane. Gather at the entrance to the Play Park alongside Scorton Methodist Church.
