Overview

Much of the route is along the well wooded sandstone ridge that runs across Cheshire. After climbing Bulkeley Hill, you continue to Rawhead, the highest point on the ridge. The whole walk provides a succession of superb view points from relatively modest heights and for relatively little effort as most of the climbing is steady rather than strenuous. Woodland and field paths, country lanes with several modest climbs.
