We will meet in Buntingford in Bowling Green Lane car park (SG9 9DF) which is free on Saturday for a 8 1/2 mile Circular walk to Cottered via Aspenden. This walk is mainly on footpaths and bridleways with a small amount of road walking. We will stop near Cherry Green to look at Button Snap, a 17th century cottage that has been associated with the writer Charles Lamb. We will see the famous plaque which lies in the garden. This used to reside on the side of the Westminster Bank in Chancery Lane, London.
From Cottered we will head back via Throcking and will cross over the A10 over the footpath which takes us back into Buntingford where will have an opportunity for refreshments in either the coffee shop or one of the local pubs.
