Area Sunday Strenuous Walk.
Distances are over 10 miles.
Please note, the start time has been brought forward by an hour as the intended train out is regularly being cancelled. We will now go on the 08.50 from Piccadilly.

The walk will start at Buxton station after the arrival of the 08.50 from Manchester Piccadilly due at 09.53.
Note: walkers are advised to check one of the rail websites such as nationalrail or trainline close to the departure time in case of late changes to the running of the train.
Train ticket - return to Buxton (if you have a GM concessionary pass this can be from Middlewood).
Car parking available at Buxton station.
Walk route - Waterswallows Road, Red Gap Farm, Woo Dale, King Sterndale, Deep Dale, Horseshoe Dale, Brier Low, Hind Low, Staker Hill, Harpur Hill, Grin Low, Solomon's Temple.
Expected time back into Buxton - 16.30 to catch the 16.56 return train to Manchester.
Walking boots and clothing (including waterproofs if wet weather is possible) are essential. Lunch and non-alcoholic drinks should be brought.
