We set off from Wellington Statue Car Park and follow the footpath along a main road to a managed access gate leading on to Skirmishing Hill, Long Bottom, Disused Pits, Bourley Bottom, and onto the managed access land (no firing today). There will be High Heath, Water Channels (very atmospheric) Moors, Views and Sandy Wilderness.
Hilly, undulating and muddy. Narrow paths. Main Road Crossings. Recommend waterproof boots and poles. There could also be cows roaming around.
Please arrive in time to register and put on boots etc as we leave promptly at 10am. Please also let the leader know if you do not have an ICE (in case of emergency) card or set up on your phone.
