A Ramblers group with walks of about 4 - 6 miles. We explore the beautiful Kent countryside from within the Tonbridge and Malling area and, occasionally, further afield.
We will be following the Wealdway from Camer Park and will head towards Luddesdown Church which dates back to the 14th Century. We pass through the vineyards of the Silverhand Estate and the surrounding conservation area. There are some beautiful views but also some slopes. A set of steep steps too in the woodland. There are a couple of quiet lanes to cross and a short stretch on another quiet lane. Six stiles to negotiate, 5 of which are dog friendly. The walk distance is 6.2 miles.
Toilets at the beginning and end of the walk and an outside cafe. There are a number of pubs close by in Meopham if anyone wants something stronger to drink. Bring your own refreshments for a half way stop on the walk.
Car park In Camer Park Road. Turn right on to Green Lane from A227 through Meopham and then first right on to Camer Park Road. Free parking but can get busy with dog walkers.
