Circular rural walk through Appledore village, along the Royal Military Canal, into Warehorne & Kenardington villages and back via the Gusborne Estate vineyards, taking in sections of the Saxon Shore Way.
A nice history walk taking in ancient (Warehorne is listed in the Domesday Book, Kenardington Church tower dates from 1170), old (the Canal was built to defend against invasion by Napoleon in 1804) & modern (Gusborne estate vines planted only 20 years ago).
Park behind the Appedore Village Hall.
Dogs on short leads only and please be aware there will be livestock in some fields, including lambs, so dogs must be under control.
Toilets are available 100m away from the start/finish at the recreation ground.
Teashop (Miss Molletts) and pub (Black Lion) in Appledore village.
