Overview

An interesting circular walk from the pleasant village of Ticknall to Carvers Rocks, taking in Foremark Reservoir and the coarse of the old Ticknall Tramway including its tunnels together with the old limestone workings that the tramway served. Joint walk with Sandwell Ramblers and Wolverhampton Ramblers.

We leave the meeting point in Walsall promptly at 09:00am.  The start time is the time the actual walk is due to start.
Please arrive at the start at least 10 minutes before the advertised start time to allow a prompt start.
We regret we cannot allow dogs other than assistance dogs on weekend Walsall Group walks.
Walkers should check on www.sandwellramblers.org.uk that the walk has not been cancelled before leaving home.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves.
All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
Booking is not necessary for this walk.
Walkers will need a packed lunch.

Ticknall Village Hall Car Park, Ingleby Lane, Ticknall, Derbyshire. A461 to Muckley Corner, A5 towards Tamworth, at Wall Island take A5148 to join A38, at Branston interchange take A5121 into Burton-upon-Trent, turn R onto A511 and in Swadlincote turn L onto A514 to Ticknall and turn L at the Wheel Inn.
