Overview

This undulating walk includes the ridge of Craig yr Allt, fine views across the Bristol Channel, a section of the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway and a variety of scenery. We shall also see Castell Coch itself from close quarters, a nineteenth century Gothic structure which was rebuilt on the site of the original castle. The total ascent is in the region of 2,600 feet.
