Overview

This 6 mile circular walk includes a mixture of mainly quiet roads, tracks and footpaths through fields. We initially leave the village through fields and a lane, and subsequently climb up through woodland to Wrington Hill. Eventually we drop back down through fields and along tracks to Wrington Village. Just one stile, and no livestock spotted previously but it may be muddy in places, and there is a steady climb up to Wrington Hill.

We normally have permission to use the pub car park, as long as at least some of us patronise the pub afterwards. Alternatively, park on one of the nearby streets, subject to any traffic restrictions. Route to Starting Point: Coming by car, follow the A38 beyond the Airport for about a mile. Turn right (signposted to Wrington) along Church Road at Redhill. Follow this country road for a couple of miles, and this leads into Wrington. In the village centre, turn right up High Street, and the Plough Inn is almost immediately on your left.
