Caton is just to the east of Lancaster within the Forest of Bowland. We have parked the coach behind the Station Inn before (with their permission) and at Bull Beck Picnic Site up the road. Walks on offer today could take you along the Lune Valley or up into the hills. Wherever you go there is always a warm welcome at the Station Inn on your return.
There walks will be available with details circulated on the coach. They will range from easy to strenuous depending on the walk selected.
A Walk Leader - Clare Vattev
B Walk Leader - John Slatcher
C Walk Leader - Debbie Baxter - Seven & half miles with a total ascent of 649ft along paths adjacent to the River Lune. We pass through the lovely village of Halton before continuing towards the Lune Aquaduct. This is the halfway point. We descend from the aquaduct to rejoin the Lune Valley Ramble on the well tarmaced bed of the old railway line back to Caton.
