For Macclesfield Forest we would normally park in the village of Langley (one pub) or at Tegg's Nose Country Pak Visitor Centre (no pub) alongside the Gritstone Trail. Walks today may follow the trail or head into the forest. Maybe you will walk up Shutlingsloe (at 506 metres it's known locally as the Cheshire Matterhorn) and visit Wildboarclough. A long walk could take you to Three Shires Head, a really lovely spot on the river Dane.
There will be three walks available with details circulated on the coach. they will range from easy to strenuous depending on the walk selected.
A Walk Leader - John Slatcher
B Walk Leader - Dave Trembath
