Overview

Starting from Caverswall & Cookshill Village Hall we will follow the lanes in the direction of Handley Banks. It's then on to Ward Hill Farm and New Hill Farm before turning into Dilhorne Wood where we will pause for elevenses at the railway platform. We then continue through the woods towards Dilhorne, along New Road for a short distance before picking up the footpaths back to Caverswall. This walk is over varied terrain and includes country lanes, paths and tracks. There are about 20 stiles on route and given the time of year it may be muddy in places. If there is a large number of people on the walk, we may split into two groups with one group going clockwise and the other anti-clockwise along the described route, both meeting at the same point for elevenses.
