Overview

We will walk upto and then along the South Downs Way round Chactonbury Ring with fine views both to the north and south. As the path reaches the Adur valley we turn towards Steyning, a picturesque  small town nestling against the downs. After a picnic lunch here, we follow quiet lanes and fields at the foot of the downs to return to the start. One significant climb in the first mile then quite straightforward using mainly good paths.
