We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From the car park at Chantry Post, The walk follows the South Downs Way east until it branches off to the left. We leave the SDW and continue straight on the path, past High Beeches wood until the path approaches the A280 (Long Furlong). We then turn right onto the Monarch's Way and continue down to Longfurlong Lane. Our path goes right, past Longfurlong Farm, up towards Blackpatch Hill then keeping NNE direction back to Chantry Post.
To get to Chantry Post car park, turn left into Chantry Lane which is immediately past the Storrington village sign post, a little past the 'RAF' veterans homes. This lane has two left turns going off to industrial estates then narrows to one lane with rough passing places. Please be aware that horse riders etc use this lane. The walk is downland but could be muddy.
