A walk along tracks and paths alongside woods or through open downland. east from Cheriton, north to Alresford, southwest past Fulley Wood to Gander Down. Briefly on the South Downs Way and back to Cheriton. A similar area but different paths to the Wednesday walk a week or so ago, and not as fast.
Coffee and lunch stop, bring sandwiches/thermos.
If it's sunny, bring hat, sun cream, water, as needed.
Not too hilly. Plenty of views if the weather is suitable.
The car park is near a pub for those who wish.
Cheriton Recreation Ground car park. A few hundred yards west of Cheriton on the road to Winchester (Westfield Road). On the right just past the Flower Pots Inn.
