Overview

The first and last thirds of this walk are along The Chesterfield Canal towpaths. Brimington Common is sandwiched in the middle. There are a couple of short sections through housing. No pub stop. Elevenses en route and then a lunch stop in Brimington where there is a play area with tables. A probable ice cream stop at Tapton Lock Visitors Centre

Meet at Chesterfield Canal Hollingwood Hub Visitors Centre on Works Road. There is a free car park that opens at 9.00am ( and closes at 4.00pm ) and a cafe and toilets that open at 9.30am. M1 South to J30 and then A619 .
