Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.
An undulating walk over downland, through farmland and woodlands. We will be walking alongside steep-sided river banks, the former site of medieval glassworks. It can be very slippery and muddy, if we have had recent wet weather, so walking poles may be useful. There are some stiles to negotiate on the walk.
Please bring a picnic lunch, which will be at Chiddingfold Green. There is also a pub and a café. Dogs on lead are welcome, but there will possibly be livestock in some of the fields.
Combe Common Recreation Ground Car Park, off Combe Lane, Chiddingfold. This is on the western outskirts of the village opposite Great Oaks Farm. Access from the A283 via Woodside Road. OS Map X133.
