Overview

Starting and finishing at Thursley Recreation Ground, our walk will take us round the trails and boardwalks on Thursley Common and the National Nature Reserve, going past the Silkmill Pond, Pudmore Pond and The Moat.  There should be very little mud as most of the walk will be on sandy trails or boardwalks.

Thursley Recreation Ground Car Park, Dye House Road, GU8 6QA. OS Map X133. PLEASE NOTE: for anyone approaching from Farnham it is advised not to use Waverley Lane/Charles Hill to approach Elstead as there are road works/road closed/diversions on the Thursley Road southbound, so the official diversion will direct you to the A3 at Milford, then down to the Thursley slip road to approach the car park. Your best route is to use the Tilford/Rushmoor Road and take the left hand turn to Thursley, just before the Bel & Dragon, then take the right hand turn onto Dye House Road after Pitch Place.
