Overview

We will be walking across the South Downs to the quiet Sussex village of Chilgrove and then on to the renowned Kingsley Vale National Nature Reserve.  This 200 hectare site of SSSI is known for some of the oldest living trees in the UK, with a grove of ancient yew trees, as well as its other unique flora and fauna.  We will stop for lunch on top of the Devil's Humps, a Bronze Age burial mound, with views over Chichester.
