Overview

This moderately hilly circular walk covers woodland, open countryside, and village greens, with a lunch stop.

Parking at the Kingsmead Recreation Ground car park in Loudwater.

Starting from the Kingsmead Recreation Ground car park, we walk through Gomm Valley Nature Reserve, known for its chalk grassland. The route continues towards Tylers Green, Penn and Common Wood. We will stop for an al fresco tea/coffee break late morning.  We will have our picnic lunch on the green at Winchmore Hill, which has a couple of benches and open space. There is a pub near the green for anyone who would like a quick drink. After lunch, we return via the Penn Estate, featuring farmland and woodland edges. We then pass Wycombe Heights Golf Course and continue to the finish.

Please text the walk leader by 7pm the evening before the walk if you would like to join us.  Sue 07749 700427
