An airy, 7.5-mile circular route across the parishes of Cholesbury and Hawridge, largely comprised of open, rolling crop fields, pastures and wooded sections interspersed by some fine views. Along the way, we visit St Mary's, a quaint small church dating from the early 13C, encounter the scene of a Civil War blockade using dead horses, take in a sight of downtown Chesham and enjoy a windmill view to finish. Weather permitting, paths and lanes should be generally sound, with one or two slightly overgrown sections. Please bring refreshments for one stop.
