Overview

This is an up and down walk through woodland and across fields with some road walking, which is stile free. Ascent 909 ft, descent 886 ft. There is a descent through woodland of almost 2Km to reach a massive urn and the walled garden of the Wormsley estate. We then join the Chiltern Way climbing steeply, and later we walk along the Oxfordshire Way. As we exit Lower Deans Wood, there are panoramic views of the South Oxfordshire countryside as we head for the gates to Watlington Park, which we do not enter. There is then a steep descent down a field and a walk along a country lane. To complete the walk we then turn sharp right, to walk up the long and winding path to the Watlington Hill car park.
