We are the East Staffordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in the East Staffordshire area to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Starting from Denstone we follow the Churnet Way to Lords Bridge then over towards The Ramblers Retreat for a coffee break. After our break we climb up through Toothill Wood past Toothill Rock ( on a clear day there are beautiful views ) then onto Alton village for our lunch.
From Alton we make our way to Denstone College then back towards Denstone Village, at this point if we wish we could add on an extra loop and drop onto JCB Lake before we head back to the starting point.
Denstone Farm Shop ( opposite where we park ) will be open until 5.30pm, I recommend a mooch if you have never visited.
Mainly good paths, some muddy fields, steps up through Toothill Wood.
Parking is in a lay-by and limited space, if possible please try to car share.
