Overview

From Cilfynydd the route heads to Coed y Cwm then follows a series forestry tracks on a  long but gradual climb to the area of Pen y Foel.    The route then heads for Gilfach-y-rhyd before descending to join a  south heading track towards Coed y Cwm. At the track end the route descends to join a section of the Lady Windsor trail to Cilfynydd.
