We are Coalville Ramblers - a friendly group based in the heart of the National Forest. We offer a programme of 3 walks each week, from 5 miles to 10 plus.
A circular walk starting from Staunton Harold Hall. Using the permissive path past Springwood Farm we approach Melbourne by way of the Pool, with a break for a drink at the Market Place.
We then continue alongside the Reservoir and enter Calke Park. A break for lunch here, then we pick up the tramway and return to Staunton.
Hot drinks and toilets are available at both Melbourne and Calke. Toilets are also available at the start.
There are multiple stiles and whilst most of the paths are good there may be some mud.
Parking is in the large car park which is free during the week. Please do not park in the garden centre car park.
