Overview

We leave the village and head up Thixen Dale to Thixendale Grange farm. We walk along to Hanging Grimston and along the top of Deepdale Wold. Cross the road and head down Brownmoor Dale. We walk up the road in Birdsall Dale and head along the ridge by Vessay Pastures and then down Cow Wold onto Beamer Hill and back down into Thixendale.
