A circular walk with fine views and interesting features from Pateley Bridge, offered as part of the Coach Ramble.
NB - Start time is based on the approximate pick up times of the coach. These will be notified in an email nearer the date.
Setting out from the coach park we will walk on a roadside footpath in a southerly direction before turning towards Bewerley with a climb up to the village.
After descending on another quieter road, without footpaths, heading west we join an uphill section across fields then down towards Fishpond Wood, with another short climb before descending along a further quiet road.
Leaving this road near to Skrikes Farm we face a stiff climb ending at Yorke's Folly.
From Yorke's Folly we walk on a reasonably level path along Guise Cliff before turning northwards for a descent, steep in parts, through Guisecliff Wood.
On reaching Glasshouses we return to Bewerley on roads without footpaths, but not too busy. From Bewerley we will retrace our steps to the coach park.
The off-road sections have the potential to be slippery in places in the case of wet weather and contain areas of well rounded large stones. Close attention needs to be taken in foot placement and walking poles may be an asset.
