Overview

We start at the main car park for the Tring Natural History museum.

We walk along the northern edge of Stubbings Wood before joining the Ridgeway for a short distance. We then cross open fields before skirting Buckland Common on our way to our lunch stop at Wiggington after about 6 1/2 miles..

After lunch we retrace our steps for a few hundred yards and follow the Icknield Way through Tring Park with fine views of Leighton Buzzard in the distance and the the museum car park in the foreground. We then skirt Shrubs Wood and cross the Ridgeway at Hastoe before returning through Grove Wood back to the start.
