Overview

On this walk we will dissect London's medical history and explore streets once plagued by death and disease. There are many points of interest along the way so please allow 5 hours for the walk. We will have a refreshment break at the Salvation Army cafe. This walk is limited to 15, booking is essential. Meet in the Salvation Army 101 Cafe, 101 Queen Victoria Street London EC4V 4EH to start the walk at 11am. (There are bag searches before descending the stairs) There are refreshments and toilets in the cafe. If travelling by train catch the Elizabeth Line from Maidenhead at 09:28, Burnham 09:34, Slough 09:38 or Langley 09:42 to arrive at Farringdon at 10.19. Transfer to the Thameslink train to Sutton which leaves at 10.32 to arrive at London Blackfriars at 10.36. We then walk towards the Millennium Bridge and the Salvation Army 101 cafe. Buy an off peak travel card.

The walk will finish at London Bridge station. For those going back to Berkshire, we catch the Jubilee Line to Bond Street and then transfer to the Elizabeth Line.
