Overview

A 10 mile picturesque moderate circular walk exploring the area between the lakes of Windermere and Esthwaite Water.  We start from Ferry Nab near Bowness and cross Windermere as a foot passenger on the car ferry.  We climb to Far Sawrey via Claife Viewing Station and then passing Moss Eccles and Wise Een Tarns to the summit of Latterbarrow.  We then descend to the lake shore and return to Ferry House where we catch the ferry back to Ferry Nab.  Ferry fare is £1.10 each way and only accept card payments (no cash).  Car parking available nearby.  Dogs accepted if kept on a lead throughout the walk.  There maybe grazing sheep nearby.

Please note, this walk starts at the car ferry at Ferry Nab, NOT the pleasure boat jetty at Bowness.
