This is a relatively flat walk through a mix of open fields and wood land.
We meet outside the Worlds End Pub which has plenty of free street parking and then head to Clapham village. A short walk through the village takes us to the Church from where we soon enter woodlands and after a while emerge overlooking the bend of Longfurlong. Stopping here for a short break we then return to Clapham Village through woodland and fields. Retracing our steps we return to the Worlds End Pub where we have always in the past ended with coffee and in some cases, lunch. We will continue the tradition.
Bring a snack as we will stop for a short break. We will not be having an additional longer lunch break.
We will encounter some mud. It'd woodland, it's November and there's a couple of places where it just never seems to dry out even in the summer. I walked it as a recce towards the end of October and we have nothing to worry about really. Boots are essential.
There are a number of well maintained stiles, but we will benefit from what seems to be a gradual rolling replacement of these with metal kissing gates.
As said... the aim is to stop to share a coffee etc at the end in the pub.
